Born in Malmberget, in the north of Sweden and moved south during the years and ended up 1977 in the
southeast of Sweden – Kivik where I now live and work.
I think I have to blame my dear cousin, composer Bo Nilsson for my interest in painting – he did
paint the walls in his room in white, with sheets music in black – never forget that, I was 9 at the time.
I just love abstract and abstract figurative, what you see in the abstract is based on your own experiences
trough life. All is in the eyes of the beholder – perfect I think.
Ideas for my motives I take from things around me, travels, people I meet, things I read or something I
see in the corner of the eye. Make notes, take photos of a sidewalk, a stone, a piece of paper on the
pavement, all impressions together in front of the empty canvas
My work is not planned in detail – it will always be in the moment, in front of the white surface –
the idea in my mind is the base and the motive appear during the work. I work fast therefore acrylic suits
me temper perfect. In some projects I also work with metal, wood, ceramic and textile.
